Early Talent consultant and researcher Mary Scott will present the findings of a 
recent comprehensive study with students at 20 national universities specific to the virtual candidate
experience during their job search. Topics include: the value and impact of virtual recruiting
platforms and tools; the ‘most’ and ‘least’ impressive and effective employer virtual recruiting
practices; and student's preferences for the future state of early talent recruiting.

Experience Central Utah:

  • Bowery Haven Resort is located on the shores of the beautiful Fish Lake and offers rentals for fishing boats or Pontoons boats. Half day rentals run as low as $60 for small fishing boats while the pontoons that hold up to 14 people can be rented for $310. There are smaller pontoons renting for $185. There is also a diner to enjoy good food. Reservations at 435-638-1040
  • Fish Lake Resort also offers Boat rentals and Pontoon rentals. Half-day rentals run $100 for a small fishing boat and $140 for their pontoon boats. They have a café and restaurant. Fish Lake is an hour's drive from Richfield, but worth the trip! Reservations at 435-638-1000

 Day Trips and Adventures:

  • Always Rafting and Kayaking offer Rafting trips that last up to two hours and are only $49.95 per person. They are located in Marysvale Canyon approx. 30 mins south of Richfield on Highway 89. Reservations at 435-326-2019
  • Big Rock Adventures offers rafting, lazy float tubes, ziplining, and a mountain adventure course. $39 for one activity or $69 for two. If you want a thrill-seeking time or just want to relax on the river head to Marysvale just 30 mins south of Richfield. Reservations at 435-326-4310
  • Capitol Reef National Park offers scenic drives AND hiking for beginners to experts. Heritage orchards offer FREE locally grown fruit with peaches and pears coming on during August to eat in the park. Low cost per bushel to pick your own.  Located 74 miles away near Torrey, Utah in the heart of Butch and Sundance country.
  • Cove View Golf Course offers 9 holes and 18 holes. The course is open as early as the sun comes up and stays open until the sunsets. Summer peak hours are in the mornings so book early. 9 holes are just $13 while 18 holes are $26. Carts available. Pro shop and diner offered. Located at 1315 Baker St. in Richfield. Reservations at 435-896-9987.
  • Mystic Hot Springs offers natural hot springs to soak your sore muscles after a long day of play. Soaking passes are $25 and reserve you a spot for 2 hours. Bring your swimsuit and towel. This resort has a hippie vibe and offers the raw beauty of the Monroe area. Reservations online at 
  • Hiking trails located on West Mountain are fun and challenging for anyone who wants to get out and enjoy the outdoors. Located Northwest of Richfield Exit 40 is a parking lot with plenty of parking and a Kiosk with maps of various trails. Trails are groomed and used by mountain bikers and hikers alike. Take plenty of water and wear a hat. There is little shade on these hikes.
  • Hillside Miniature Golf is located just South Richfield at 2446 N. Washburnville Road in Monroe. Put the address in your GPS and find a fun getaway for only $5 per person. The course is open from 1:00 pm until 10:00 pm. They have drinks and snacks. There are picnic tables also if you would like to bring lunch. 
  • Sevier County Fair should be going on during the week of August 9-14. Stroll through fair exhibits, go to the rodeo, or eat deep-fried food. The county fairgrounds are located west of town on 200 South. There will be free concerts or events each evening.
